From Pit Carts to the innovative Band Wagon, Spann Engineering provides a total engineering, design, and fabrication service for marching bands, winter guards, and indoor drum lines. All our carts are constructed of A-36 steel, MIG welded for strength, and powder coated to create a finish that will protect your equipment for years. In addition, all of our carts are custom made to guarantee a perfect fit, and years of protection for your valuable equipment.

Mark Spann, the owner and founder, became interested in the field while serving as a band parent and on the 'pit crew' for the Clinton High School Band in Clinton, TN. He noticed the abuse the sideline equipment was subjected to on a daily basis, as well as the struggles in efficiently loading and unloading the instruments. He approached Mr. Tim Paul, band director at the time, and offered to fabricate carriers for the mallet instruments. Tim agreed, and was so impressed by the quality of his work that he urged Mark to go into business building carts. Since opening in 2002, Spann Engineering has provided equipment for multiple high school and college bands in Tennessee, and in 2006 expanded into Georgia, Ohio, Kansas, Arizona, and Idaho!
